Q: Why are you shutting down your service?

A: As mentioned in the announcement we sent to all users here, We are shutting down the service due to changes in the marketplace and to focus our efforts on NetSource Technologies, our web development company.

Q: What will happen with my bill?

A: We will continue billing you for services through June 30, 2021. If you are prepaying quarterly or annually, we'll automatically change your billing to a monthly cycle at your discounted quarterly or annual rate. If your account is paid past June 30, we will refund any surplus after July 1.

Q: What will happen to my email when MFI shuts down its services?

A: When we shut down our services, you will no longer be able to check your mailbox or send mail from your address. Messages sent to your address will bounce back to the sender. Your mailbox will be deleted, so any messages stored on our servers will be deleted. Messages which have been downloaded to your computer or another device will not be affected, so you can refer to them later.

Q: How do I see what email is being stored on the server?

A: The easiest way to do this is to log into your mailbox using our web-based email system. This will allow you to view the contents of your mailbox using a web browser. You can log into our webmail system here. You'll need your email address and password. Once you're logged in, you can browse through your mail folders. Note that this only shows you mail currently stored on our server. If you have been saving mail to your computer with an email client such as Windows Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird, those messages will stay on your computer after the shutdown.

Q: I logged into webmail and see messages I want to save. How do I do this?

A: There are a two ways to do this.

From webmail: You can forward messages you wish to keep to another email address. Keep in mind that this won't preserve your ability to reply directly to the original message, but it is a very simple process.

From your mail client: Most of our customers are set up using POP3, which downloads all mail from your Inbox and stores a copy on your computer. If your mail client is configured for POP3 access, just be sure you check your mail before the deadline. Any mail stored on your computer will remain after the shutdown.

Q: How do I check if I'm using POP3?

A: If you check your email only using our webmail interface, you are NOT using POP3. If you are using a program like Windows Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, etc, it _may_ be configured to use POP3. You can verify this by checking the settings for your mail account. If the type or protocol is POP3 or POP, then your computer is saving your mail locally.
